New Strategies for Cagliari's open spaces
An analysis of urban open spaces acts as parting point for a greater understanding of the city, an organism within which the organisation of spaces and territorial structures has a strategic role in town planning.

The 2006 plan for Cagliari ’s open spaces began with a general revision of the 1996 plan, highlighting the results obtained by the communal Administration which applied the strategic guidelines outlined in the plan itself and doubled the areas destined for public open spaces in ten years.

The layout aims to create a “greenway” along the axis of the infrastructures to mitigate its impact on the environment.
